Michael Menard joined Johnson & Johnson at the age of twenty-two to operate the blueprint machine. Twenty-five years later he was named the company's first VP of engineering and an officer of the company with responsibilities in forty-four countries. He has received fourteen US and multiple international patents including the inventions of infant diapers with elastic legs and sanitary napkins with wings for women.

Michael has contributed to numerous professional publications including Harvard Management Update, Gartner Research, and The Journal of the American Management Association.

Co-founder and president of The GenSight Group, a company helping corporations find a systematic approach to strategic choice and resource optimization, he has advised senior leadership at institutions such as Johnson and Johnson, Westinghouse, Cisco, Glaxo, Pfizer, Coca-Cola, and the US Department of Energy. GenSight's enterprise portfolio software application is ranked by Forrester Research as one of the top six portfolio management software applications in the world today alongside SAP, Microsoft, and HP.
